no mo co-co

dear internet:

yesterday at work, i was ringing up some college students for shittey movie posters, like Confessions of a Shopoholic, and one of them noticed my "WE'RE WITH COCO" sticker on the counter. she asked "is that really a thing?" "does he have supporters? fans?" I looked at her like she'd just told me pigs were flying around outside. I paused and thought, oh, maybe she's just not aware of late night greatness. NO! during the transaction, her friends were like "yeah, he's funny, and weird." she replied "no way, jay leno!" I have NEVER had to bite my tongue so hard and refrain from making eye contact. Now this girl was sort of a younger hipster college girl and it blew my mind that someone like this could actually prefer leno to o'brien. she said "he's weird, he does that dance." which is the string dance, which for the record, is GENIUS People!! who doens't love a marionette? Another guy later in the day said "for shame" to me for supporting conan and i really just shook that off since this guy was super weird and oddballs are allowed to have shitty taste, beacause of ignorence.

on the bright side, i also saw a guy with a conan face button during the sale and that lifted my spirits way high.

well, last night was truley disheartening to me. it was conan o'brien's last show for NBC. everyone else knows the details by know so i'll skip those. i just want to say that this has effected me more than i ever thought it would. i have supported conan since i was 13. i used to tape his shows on late night with my vcr timer and since he took over the tonight show, it's been dvr'ed every single show. i WATCH it dammit!! i make it a point to spread my triumph the insult comic dog DVD to all my friends, i wrote to conan and andy about 8 years ago and recieved really nice signed headshots of them which remain on my wall today. i'm moving them to my office, since i want to see them more often. when i first got wind of the late night debate, this was placed up on the popper:

it really just kills me to think that things like this happen. i'm sure conan will be fine, but really it's the principle of the thing? and does nbc really know what they are doing? it seems like conan was the only one that had support from all over, until i met those nincompoops yesterday. it made me step back and have a lightbulb, cause i was like "huh, where ARE all the leno fans and supports?" "where is the we're with leno facebook fan page?" well i guess they are out there, since he got his job back. really, it mute, since it's all over with, but it will always remain a sore spot in my heart.

i mentioned to chris that i was worried about him a few weeks ago when i noticed that he was having a lot of repeat guests, lower grade guests, and less interesting things going on. i kept seeing a fucking listers on the jay leno's show ads and was really concerned about conan. never did i think that he was in such danger of leaving the show.

his speech where he laid everything out on the table last night and held back a choke, made my tummy shake with passion toward the man i've grown up watching.
i have been grounded at least 3 times for being caught staying up late to watch conan on late night. i was late numerous times for school due to this. when sugar and spice came out and has a sex bot in love with conan as a side plot line,
i was floating!!

love live conan fucking o brien!!

go co co!!
