downey fever
shit. robert downey jr. is all over the place right now, and it's not even about iron man 2 for me. although i'm rip roarin' to see it, after the crowds die down some. the other day i was at work doing a period inventory and the sweet boyfriend i have called to tell me that downey was at the south lamar for the iron man 2 preview.
NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
(you know what that sounds like)
so i go home that night all pissy and mad that i missed this magnificent man.
a while back chris bought me a VHS movie with robert in it called "Chances Are".
it looked silly, it's got him in a white tux jacket and he's holding up a giant
photo of cybill shepard, or something like that. well, that was the night.
and well, it was fucking weird. oddly enough also enjoyable and it has to do
with the afterlife. it's a nice little romantic complement to "Heart & Soul"
and not as boring as "Only You". Man, but there are these "parts" where I swear,
the director must have said "Now, Rob, I want you to stare just this side of the camera, give a smirk, and made those brown eyes as big as you can." well, it
works. this is defiantly worth a watch, but don't take it so serious.
then last night i had a nutzo dream with present day jr. i was me, but i wasn't me.
i was like this wacky blonde girl. he was walking around in this dark bar place and
came up to me and said "hey, aren't you that german lady that won't take off you socks for photo shoots?" I replied "no, that's not me".
now, i get home and i'm trying to finish work while watching "Fur". This movie
is heard to get through. good lord, i just wasn't ready for nicole kidman and the beast. but i think i really like it actually. downey has hyperchicosis, aka
"werewolf syndrome". yeah, i most likely stayed about from this film when it was
release due to nicole kidman being in, but it's all alright, when she's wearing a
coat make of human hair from rdowney's BOD!! the ending is bad, of course, but i'm
used to that.
